We were all watching the movie
Ten of us
And everyone paid rapt attention
To the different scenes.

‘Romeo and Juliet’ precisely
And ironically
I played ‘Romeo’
And Zina played ‘Juliet’.

As cast
We were privileged to watch the premiere
of the movie
And had our seats reserved
In the cinema hall.

At the climax of this enthralling movie
When Romeo and Juliet peaked their love
Zina picked up a remote control
And switched over to another movie
… In which she appeared still!!

Here she was acting Juliet once again
But this time… with another Romeo!
“Two movies?!” most people asked, confused.
“Two Romeos?!” others wondered.

I was immediately thrown into a dilemma
And so I turned around to ask her:
“When did you act the other?”
But… she wasn’t even on her seat!!

Hand in hand
They were walking out of the cinema hall -
Zina
… And the other Romeo!
