Charles Ayodeji Dada, poet, writer and artist, was born on the 13th of October in Brussels, Belgium. Having been born into the family of a senior career diplomat, he had the rare opportunity from youth of touring several countries of the world including Egypt, Algeria, Poland, Belgium, England and Ghana.
At a certain stage in his life, a return to his homeland, Nigeria, brought him face to face with many a new and strange experience. The culture shock coupled with an immediate environment in complete anomie brought about many a trauma. Persisting, he forged on with the ideals of his youth and sought to live life from his heart and feeling. Sadly, this only brought about many a disappointment and disillusionment with his environs.
Thereafter, he sought to see life from a different perspective.
This Grace was afforded him after many a sad and trying experience, and when he thought it all over, he decided with his pen to leave behind a legacy, at least his story, with anyone who would care to listen!
Illumination into his experiences were afforded him after an encounter with a ‘Great Work Of Truth’ after which his life was never to be the same again…
His path lay clearly before him and with his pen he wrote out his story, as well that… which he was permitted to write!
With over twenty literary works to his credit (yet to be published), he considers The Ghost Of Zina especially significant, as the depth of the experiences chronicled served as a catalyst to the discovery of his literary potential.
